What do cubs do?

Cubs do a wide range of activities, including the occasional camp.  Activities range from arts and crafts to climbing and abseiling to kayaking and sailing – we like to give the cubs an experience of the adventure that scouting has to offer!

Cubs make a Promise, help others, play games, go on outings and visits, go camping, learn about the outdoors, create things, try new things, make friends, gain badges and have fun.

Our programme is carefully planned according to the brand of adventure philosophy that scouting promotes in order to provide a wide range of activities and experiences.

Every Cub Scout participates in everyday adventures over a period of time. This provides all young people with the opportunity to learn a variety of invaluable life skills. A new refreshed youth programme was launched in Spring 2015 and focuses upon outdoors, adventure, teamwork and leadership. Our aspiration is, by 2023, to provide our young people with “Skills For Life”.
